Seafest Established

The first Seafest took place in 2014 over the 4th & 5th of July with the aim of celebrating our fishing heritage.

The Seafest Seafood Supper opened the festival on the Friday evening. Guests were treated to a menu of locally sourced and prepared seafood which was accompanied by music and tales of the sea.

The Food Fayre & Family Fun Day took place the following day in Station Park, featuring a children’s fancy dress parade, fun fair rides, cookery demonstrations, bouncy castles and food stalls.

With the support of the Trust, Seafest continues to create visibility for local organisations, businesses and communities as well as creating an annual focal point for both locals and tourists.
