The LCDT is working to make Lossiemouth a better place to live work and visit. We’d love to hear from anyone that supports these objectives and would like to get more involved. You can become a member by completing this form.
We have a number of projects, initiatives and events which you can find out about on this website and through our social media channels.
🌱 Our Lossie Growers were at the High School last night in the ASN garden.
The group were clearing weeds away, turning over beds and planting seedlings.
This is part of a long-term plan to work with the school to develop the area for the benefit of the school and the community.
Our growers will tend the herbs and edible flowers over the summer to ensure a good crop is waiting for the school when they start back in August.
Alongside this, we'll plant other edible crops to be shared with the community.

The Lossiemouth Cubs where down the garden Monday night. Lots of weeding and grass raking done. They worked well for over an hour. Good team effort. Bagheera

Record Breaking January temperatures in Scotland yesterday- a crazy 20 degrees in places ! We had a mild but breezy 14 degrees on the beach in Lossiemouth which definitely didn’t feel at all mild in that wind !

Slow living things to do in Moray this year include visiting the beautiful Culbin Forest and the incredible Hill 99 view point🌲🥰
This is a remarkable spot on the Moray coast🥰. The wee ponds in the forest attract dragonflies and serve as a water tap for otters🦦. Much of the shoreline from the trees to the low tide mark is an RSPB reserve🐦. The mix of salt marsh, mudflats, shingle and sand is a vital feeding ground for wading birds, you can sometimes spot Ospreys🦅 fishing here too😎. Bring your cozzie for a dip in the sea with a beaut view🥰🌊.

We had brunch out, played in the park (I was treated to Taylor Swift in concert at one point) a walk round Lossie, our nails done (the automatic massage chair I sat in was worth the money alone) a trip to Boots, Claire’s Accessories, Starbucks (had to pay £3.20 for the SMALLEST EVERRRRRR hot chocolate) then a food shop in Asda for our tea all together when we got home.
What a day!
