The LCDT is working to make Lossiemouth a better place to live work and visit. We’d love to hear from anyone that supports these objectives and would like to get more involved. You can become a member by completing this form.
We have a number of projects, initiatives and events which you can find out about on this website and through our social media channels.
♻️Grants available to businesses and social enterprises for net zero transition c. £20-£250k ♻️
Highlands & Islands Enterprise Green Grant Fund aims to support businesses and social enterprises across the Highlands and Islands to transition to net zero.
The funding is a non-repayable grant of up to £250,000, which will cover between 10% and 40% of the total cost of a project. The minimum grant award is £20,000. Projects with a total cost of £50,000 or less are therefore unlikely to be eligible.
Projects can include anything that helps businesses and social enterprises to reduce carbon emissions and make progress towards achieving net zero, for example through energy efficiency measures, renewables, or waste management.
They will prioritise projects based in remote and rural areas where applicants may be eligible for up to 50% funding.
HIE’s contribution to projects will be based on the financial need of the business or social enterprise. Applicants will be required to provide financial information on request to allow an assessment to be made.

🩵 It was certainly a fitting celebration of Fiona and her many years of service to the community and she had a wonderful time.
🩵 Fiona particularly enjoyed a ride in the new beach wheelchair (available soon, we're just setting up housing and booking options).
🩵 And to top it all off, on the way home, she spotted dolphins through the new Station Park telescope! 🐬🐬🐬

Slow living things to do in Moray this year include visiting the beautiful Culbin Forest and the incredible Hill 99 view point🌲🥰
This is a remarkable spot on the Moray coast🥰. The wee ponds in the forest attract dragonflies and serve as a water tap for otters🦦. Much of the shoreline from the trees to the low tide mark is an RSPB reserve🐦. The mix of salt marsh, mudflats, shingle and sand is a vital feeding ground for wading birds, you can sometimes spot Ospreys🦅 fishing here too😎. Bring your cozzie for a dip in the sea with a beaut view🥰🌊.

We had brunch out, played in the park (I was treated to Taylor Swift in concert at one point) a walk round Lossie, our nails done (the automatic massage chair I sat in was worth the money alone) a trip to Boots, Claire’s Accessories, Starbucks (had to pay £3.20 for the SMALLEST EVERRRRRR hot chocolate) then a food shop in Asda for our tea all together when we got home.
