๐Ÿ›Ÿ A new life ring for the West Beach!

Well done to the Lossie Cod Heids swimmers for raising over ยฃ500 to provide a new life ring for West Beach!

The old ring is out of bounds behind the fencing, this new one is on the side of the Watersports Club, in a better location for the main access ramp used by swimmers and paddleboarders.

๐Ÿชง Either side of the ring are information panels, one about watersports at the West Beach and how to stay safe, and another with local information as well as details about the fight to save the car park.

๐ŸšIt also encourages motorhomes to make a donation if staying overnight.

LCDT led the project and created the content for the panels as part of the community commitment to secure access to the West Beach and enhance the facilities in the area.

Wed like to thank the Ronnie Simpson of Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, the Moray Firth Watersports Association - MFWA, and Lossiemouth Surf & Lifesaving Club for their help with the safety assessments of the area.

The panels have been beautifully designed by MMS Design & Print, and produced by Signworks - Moray, thanks to Moray Local Action Group and the Bus Trust for the funding for the panels.

Huge thank you to Alex Lauriston Industrial and Garage Doors for installing the ring and panels free of charge, and for persuading Highland Industrial Supplies to supply the fixings free of charge, too!

Finally, thank you to the Cod Heids who came along for the launch, weeded and tidied the area, it looks so much nicer now.

Now, lets hope no one ever needs to use it!

(If you suspect that the ring has been tampered with, please let us know, email: dto@lossietrust.org)

We took Goose for his first walk along the river Lossiemouth and it absolutely pissed down. We got completely soaked through. As we made it back to the car the rain stopped and finally the sun peeped through.

It has been too long since I was out and about in the fresh air doing some outdoor painting. With one thing and another, and as wonderful as it is to be so busy with commissions and wedding bookings, I just have not managed to take my watercolours out to paint some free art drop postcards.
Hopefully over the summer months I will get out and capture some of the gorgeous scenery we have here in Lossiemouth and along the coast.
If you do see me painting please come and say hello. I know it looks like I am busy and in the zone but I love a natter with folks about painting!

Here is to a warm dry summer with lots of opportunities to create little pieces of giveaway art.

Looking forward to seeing you all! ๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ๐ŸŽจโค๏ธ

Been a long time in the making ๐Ÿ’›

Today I delivered my first stock to The Re:Store Moray in Lossiemouth and saw Gutful Foods on the shelf.

There have been recipes, testing, labels, paperwork, late nights, markets to prepare for and more seeds in my house than I ever thought possible!

Seeing the products sitting in a shop today felt pretty special.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, tested products, shared posts and cheered me on so far.

If youโ€™re in Lossiemouth, pop in and have a look ๐Ÿ‘€#moray #lossiemouth #supportlocal #smallbusiness #guthealthy
