Formed in 2014, Lossiemouth Community Development Trust (LCDT) is a Scottish charity based in Lossiemouth, on the beautiful Moray Coast.
Our projects focus on place and infrastructure in the town. We support the regeneration and improvement of facilities in Lossiemouth, and we support other community groups who seek to to the same. Find out about our projects.
We are an independent community-owned and led, membership organisation, governed by a voluntary board of trustees.Β We have two part-time staff and are supported by a team of cheery volunteers.Β Would you like to get involved?

You could be just who we need on board!
The LCDT is a charity governed by a voluntary board of trustees.
βοΈ The trustees lead the Trust and decide how it is run.
βοΈ Trustees use their skills and experience to support the work of the Trust, helping us to achieve our aims.
βοΈ Trustees also often learn new skills during their time on the board.
βοΈ Being a trustee means making decisions that will impact on peopleβs lives.
βοΈ Being a trustee means you'll be making a difference to your local community.
We're looking for people who
π have integrity and good communication skills
π are collaborative and ambitious for Lossiemouth
π are adaptable and resourceful
π can commit a minimum of two evenings a month
π No experience is necessary, but local knowledge, professional skills, leadership and/or third sector experience are particularly valuable.

π§ Water Pump Replacement Completed π§
We were recently asked to replace a failed water pump system for a customer.
After isolating the existing installation, the faulty pump was removed and the new customer-supplied unit was installed, commissioned and tested to ensure correct operation.
Itβs always satisfying getting systems back up and running and ensuring everything is operating safely and reliably before leaving site.

If you are like me (or Paddington Bear) you will love the bittersweet orange taste of marmalade. I have baked this into a cake with some warming spices and it is DELICIOUS! Daraus wurde dann ein Aufenthalt bis zum Abend. ππ Bei diesem endlosen Strand, den wunderschΓΆnen DΓΌnen und dem Blick aufs Meer fiel uns das Wegfahren einfach schwer. π Ich konnte durch den Sand laufen, schnΓΌffeln, die frische Seeluft genieΓen und immer wieder neue Ecken entdecken. Meine Menschen haben die Ruhe, die Weite und die Aussicht genossen. Manchmal findet man Orte, an denen die Zeit einfach etwas langsamer vergeht. Genau so ein Ort war Lossiemouth heute fΓΌr uns. β¨

It has been too long since I was out and about in the fresh air doing some outdoor painting. With one thing and another, and as wonderful as it is to be so busy with commissions and wedding bookings, I just have not managed to take my watercolours out to paint some free art drop postcards.
Hopefully over the summer months I will get out and capture some of the gorgeous scenery we have here in Lossiemouth and along the coast.

Been a long time in the making π
Today I delivered my first stock to The Re:Store Moray in Lossiemouth and saw Gutful Foods on the shelf.
There have been recipes, testing, labels, paperwork, late nights, markets to prepare for and more seeds in my house than I ever thought possible!
Seeing the products sitting in a shop today felt pretty special.
