Working for the community to make Lossiemouth a better place to live, work and visit.

Formed in 2014, Lossiemouth Community Development Trust (LCDT) is a Scottish charity based in Lossiemouth, on the beautiful Moray Coast.

Our projects focus on place and infrastructure in the town. We support the regeneration and improvement of facilities in Lossiemouth, and we support other community groups who seek to to the same. Find out about our projects.

We are an independent community-owned and led, membership organisation, governed by a voluntary board of trustees.  We have two part-time staff and are supported by a team of cheery volunteers.  Would you like to get involved?

Our strategy is developed through regular engagement with the people of Lossiemouth and strong relationships with other local stakeholders in order to create sustainable and effective change. Have your say!

🌟 THE LOSSIE LOCAL 🌟

Today we want to shine a light on one of Lossiemouth's unsung heroes 🌟

The Lossie Local is a brilliant community magazine put together by the incredible Nicky, who somehow finds the time to create it around work and family life. It lands on 3500 doorsteps across Lossiemouth and gives local businesses, community groups and organisations a real voice in our town.

What makes it extra special is that it's completely non profit making. A £500 donation goes to the community group who deliver it, and any remaining profits go straight to local charities. Advertising starts from just £30 with no hidden costs and no VAT, so it's accessible to everyone.

If you're a local business or community group looking for a brilliant way to reach Lossiemouth residents, The Lossie Local is well worth a look. Head over to their page to find out more 🌟

There's something special about Lossiemouth as the seasons start to change 🍂

The mornings are a little fresher, the evenings are drawing in, and the sea air feels crisper than ever. Autumn is quietly making itself known and honestly, we're here for it.

Whether you're wrapping your hands around a morning coffee, taking a walk along the beach or simply stopping to take in the view, there is nowhere quite like Lossie at this time of year 🧡

A foraging trip to a beautiful woodland near by ended up with purple fingers and a pot overflowing with Blaeberries (the Scottish word for Bilberries). Similar to blueberries but smaller and tarter, these wee berries are perfect to use in baking and jams. Our homemade jam is absolutely delicious spread on hot buttery toast. I plan to freeze some of the blaeberries to bake with later in the year as well!
