Formed in 2014, Lossiemouth Community Development Trust (LCDT) is a Scottish charity based in Lossiemouth, on the beautiful Moray Coast.
Our projects focus on place and infrastructure in the town. We support the regeneration and improvement of facilities in Lossiemouth, and we support other community groups who seek to to the same. Find out about our projects.
We are an independent community-owned and led, membership organisation, governed by a voluntary board of trustees. We have two part-time staff and are supported by a team of cheery volunteers. Would you like to get involved?

Please support the Laich of Moray Active Travel Routes - for a safe way to get between Lossie and Hopeman by foot, bike or other non-motorised method..A safe route for everyone.
Right now, people walking, cycling or wheeling between Hopeman, Covesea and Lossiemouth have no safe route. Sadly, the Moray Coastal Path is unsuitable for most users.
We are working to create a dedicated Active Travel Route so everyone can travel safely, including school pupils, families, visitors and people heading to essential services.
We’re looking for new members and supporters to help move the project into its next phase.
No experience is needed — just a belief that safe travel should be possible for everyone.

I have worked in this town for many years but always just a day trip passing through in a rush. 🚙
I decided to stay a night as I was craving sea views and a beach run…waited till 6:45 am to go out to catch the sunrise and it did not disappoint! 🌅⛅️
The Moray Coastal Trial is designated as one of Scotland’s Great Trails by NatureScot! There is also the Covesea Lighthouse and its history is fascinating! ⚓️
I was only able to do a 7km out and back as had to rush to get to work at 9, but I can’t wait for earlier sunrises in summer so I can explore more of it! 🧭

Nous avons passé la nuit à Lossiemouth. C'est une petite ville côtière du nord-est de l'Ecosse, réputée pour ses plages spectaculaires, son climat étonnament doux pour la région et son ambiance balnéaire tranquille.
On peut y voir fréquemment des phoques, des oiseaux marins et même des aurores boréales.
On peut noter la présence d'une base de la RAF d'où décollent régulièrement des jets militaires mais nous n'avons pas eu la chance de les voir.
La matinée a été consacrée à la détente et aux jeux de plage. N°2 s'est éclaté 😄
📌 En camping car, vous pouvez vous installer le long de la plage. Nous avons passé une nuit très calme bercés par le bruit des vagues. C'est top ! 🤩
