Support Lossiemouth Community Development Trust
Help Us Continue Making Lossiemouth a Better Place to Live
Donate
As a charity, we rely on external funding to do our work. Third sector funding is in crisis. We are trying to set up income-generating activities (e.g. motorhomes and renewable energy), but many of our most rewarding projects, such as the growing and the beach wheelchair, will never generate much money. You can find out more about our work here
We need a baseline income to support our office and staff, so that we can continue our work.
You can support the LCDT by making a one-off donation, or by setting up a standing order. If you are eligible for Gift Aid, please complete this form, every penny will make a difference!
– PayPal to dto@lossietrust.org
– BACS or Standing Order – see below.
– Cash or cheque (payable to Lossiemouth Community Development Trust) to the office.
Your support is needed now, more than ever!
For the past four years, the core work of Lossiemouth Community Development Trust (LCDT) has been supported largely through Scottish Government funding via Highlands & Islands Enterprise. This funding has enabled us to maintain our office on Pitgaveny Street and employ our Development Officers, whose work has helped deliver many successful community projects.
This funding will finish in March 2026.
Many of our projects, such as community growing, the beach wheelchair and the visitor centre do not bring in any income. To continue to deliver these and other community projects, the Trust must first cover its core running costs, including office costs, staffing, admin and overheads.
Without sustainable core funding, we cannot continue to support and develop community projects.
One way to help secure the future of the Trust is if our members and supporters would consider offering small, regular donations.
Introducing Regular Giving
We are launching a Regular Giving Scheme and inviting supporters to make a small monthly donation by Standing Order.
Suggested donation:
-
£2 to £10 per month
Even small amounts make a real difference.
Example:
If 40 members donated £5 per month:
-
£200 per month income
-
£2,400 per year
-
PLUS an additional 25% through Gift Aid at no extra cost to you
All donations go into our unrestricted fund, allowing us to respond flexibly to community needs and opportunities.
How to Set Up Your Donation
If you would like to support the Trust through regular giving:
- Set up a Standing Order using the bank details below.
- Please let us know by emailing dto@lossietrust.org
